Venice in Love

"Do you want to learn about the magic of Venice? I'll be your guide and take you around. You can bet on it, it will be the time of your life." Mariola, the protagonist of this story, which is both a romance and a Venetian guidebook, takes one of her clients, Alberto, on Venetian tours and conjures up moments from the past and the present of La Serenissima. Nine tours around the city to fall in love with Venice. Will more love be in the air?

The illustrations in the book have been made by Venetian artist Claudio Trevisan, who is a watercolourist, an abstract painter but also a refined illustrator.

Mariapia Lionello, born on Venice's Lido, lived in Venice for many years until she moved to Mestre, but she has retained her love and passion for the city. She obtained her degree in Foreign Languages at Ca' Foscari University. A teacher of English and English literature, she is also a photographer and a lover of Venetian art and history.
