My work is not about nature, but about the mysteries of communication, and animals reveal these mysteries. Animals have also always been with man, so you have the dog, the donkey, the horse, the bird, but they also reveal man's relationship with alterity, with the other. They represent both connection and unknowable communication.

So everything becomes form, all of these things, the animals, the histories, the architecture, all of the elements that we're talking about exist in my head and when I am starting to make a work I can drawn from my mind, the head of a horse for example. But it's not about the head of the horse. It is just a form that is within my vocabulary.
