Already well-known for the first series (published during the period 1972-1977) Studi novecenteschi is the only journal that is specifically dedicated to the study of the Italian Literature of our century: a field, that is to say, in which choises, interpretations, updatings are as arduous to the same extent as they are necessary, and they continue to be centre of growing and motivated interest not only in schools, but elsewhere too.
Although it is characterised by the research rigour typical of specialistic journals, it is not only addressed to a single and limited circle; it pays careful attention to various problems of historiographic arrangement, a precise analysis of the papers and methodological renewal. Moreover, much space is reserved to the complete and opportune bibliographical information which takes its form as a Bibliographical Review.
