The journal intends to collect and provide access to studies, articles, and papers on the complex and intriguing problems connected to paratext: the aim is to study various aspects of presentation and the resulting use of text in its various forms (ranging from book to portal), and also to ensure the further visibility for the protagonists of events that have influenced (and continue to influence) the destiny of written communication as a public document. Many professionals (especially authors and editors) concur on the process of the dynamics of objects that achieve the status of 'genre'. It follows that the historicobibliographic point of view cannot help but open up a wide-ranging spectrum of investigation, so that which is on the peripherie of a text assumes a connotation difficult to reduce to the unity of a single discipline.
The journal aims to create an arena for Italian and foreign scholars who have access to many different sources of knowledge and learning in order to bring them together in the journal's pages, calling on the 'paratext' in all its forms as an object of study.
