In contemporary popular perception, Leonardo da Vinci is widely regarded as the epitome of a universal genius, capable of delving into the depths of Nature's secrets. However, beyond the mythical status attributed to him, the true challenge lies in unraveling and understanding the historical reality of Leonardo's life and work. This proves to be a significant obstacle for modern researchers, as Leonardo, during his time, embodied the concept of a 'universal homo' - someone who embraced investigations spanning across all disciplines, arts, and forms of expression, without any boundaries. This international journal aims to foster research on the figure and oeuvre of Leonardo with the same broad-mindedness, paying equal attention to various domains such as the arts, literature, linguistics, philosophy, the history of science and technology, reception and engagement with modernity, biographies, and narrative forms (such as novels, short stories, theater, film and television scripts, comics), spanning up to the present day. The journal, published on an annual basis, boasts an Editorial Committee, and an International Scientific Committee, comprised of esteemed Leonardo scholars who have affiliated themselves with the journal. Embracing a genuine multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach, priority is given to research papers, particularly those authored by young scholars, that offer innovative and original contributions in terms of documentary evidence, philology, linguistics, criticism, and interpretation
