The idea of a scholarly journal dedicated to Dante was born of awareness of an increasingly lively and pronounced multilingual interest in Dante. This activity has been growing steadily over the course of the last few years, and deserves not only to be outlined and described, but also absorbed into a conceivable dialogue between interested individuals, restructured in the corpus of the journal as a privileged zone where articles written in languages other than Italian are re-elaborated and discussed. Aside from areas traditionally reserved for scientific-academic reflections, such as studies, reviews and the announcement of recent publications, the journal intends to offer a wider reading public notes and reflections on contemporary Dante studies, particularly highlighting the complex world of translation.
