For Ahuva, FAITH - centred around Nubian stones collected by the artists along the central beaches of Israel's Mediterranean coast - is a reminder of the importance of trust among people, uniting them through friendship and emotion. With Ahuva's skilled hands, FAITH resonates by going back to nature, and challenging our perception of art. It is a reminder of the significance of nature in its purest form by which we can fully understand the artist's vision in its origin.
Every Nubian stone - which is a spiritual material in itself - was hand-selected by Zeloof for its spiritual presence: "This time it's not faces but biblical figures. Holy monuments and scenes of pilgrimage appear when I look at these collections of stones."AITH, Zeloof's latest body of work, represents the volta - or turning point - of her artistic journey: the artist pulls back on physical manipulation, instead focusing on the spiritual expressions that are perceived by the viewer. Or, in Zeloof's own words: "Created by nature and found by the artist." This incredible artistic journey - especially during these hard times of wars and religious conflicts - should be taken as an example, and guide, of reconnecting with our deeper souls, to retrieve a sense of peace and harmony with the exterior world.
