This book collects some papers written by some of the participants in the First Pythagorean Symposium at the University of Calabria and Crotone in September 2018. The Symposium was organized in memory of professor Marcel-Paul (Marco) Schiitzenberger, considered to be the one of the last Pythagorean thinkers. Nowadays, in fact, mathematics, computer science, information theory and much more are the direct evolution of the ideas of the so called Pythagorean School. For this reason, the life of a special man as M.-P. Schiitzenberger was the subject of a few talks and conversations among the attendees. The papers contained in this volume are just hints to what future research areas, in a broad sense, could be for young mathematicians. We try to show the interdisciplinary approach needed to understand the role of numbers (and, in particular, of the "unimaginable numbers") in the relatioship between pure and applied sciences, mankind and the rest of the universe.
