The purpose of «Studi di Egittologia e di Papirologia» is to disclose the results of the world's modern research in Egyptology and Papyrology and the related subjects, such as the history of ancient Egyptian scripts from the pharaohs' to the Byzantine age, and the history of book production and spreading in ancient Mediterranean.
The journal will deal with all aspects of research. As a consequence, essays on Egyptology will concern not only the study and decoding of texts, but also the review of archaeological materials and surveys; essays on Papyrology will investigate not only the traditional aspects of documentary and literary texts, but also the problem of restoration and the ancient and modern treatment of papyri, without disregarding the history of studies and issues related to the digital and technological media used for research.
