The history of Greek and Roman philosophy is a discipline of long standing and an area approached by a variety of methodological and thematic viewpoints. The international journal "Antiqvorvm Philosophia" aims to contribute to further development of this field of studies also by widening the range of 'antiquity' both in space and in time. On one side the journal takes 'antiquity' to cover both the different philosophies built up in Graeco-Roman world and the thought of other chronologically parallel ancient cultures (Ancient Near East, Egypt, India, China). On the other side, it also assumes that ancient philosophy continues to live beyond the limits of its historical time, in the renewals and revivals, uses and abuses, interpretations and philological as well as historiographical inquiries that have been given in the subsequent ages till today. Each number of the journal is organized in two sections. The first one, wider than the other, is dedicated to a general topic, studied in a variety of approaches and methods and through a series of particular cases concerning not only Greek and Roman philosophy, but also ancient thought in general and its revivals or modifications in successive ages. The second part, more reduced than the first, will collect single contributes on specific points and discussions of recent publications.
