Working fearlessly during the last ten years of her life, Louise Bourgeois makes a final incursion into her personal memories and yet universal concerns about art and the experience of being a woman in the twentieth century. Through her sculptures, large drawings, prints, assemblages, cells, and her writings she deals with her demons, abruptly and exhaustively, with the distance or intensity of experience, questioning or bearing witness to a life and an oeuvre that will leave their indelible mark on the twentieth century. The aim of the project is to show the last 10 years of Louise Bourgeois' work, her private and continue interest in Freud and how she reflected it in her art and diaries.
It accompanies an exhibition hosted by La Casa Encendida, Madrid from October 2012 to January 2013.
