Jan Toorop (1858-1928) was indisputably the most famous Dutch portrait painter of his time. The publication of this book, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the year he died, provides an overview of Toorop's career as a portrait painter. The book includes reproductions of works from all his style periods, including the years he lived in Nijmegen (1908-1916).
