The numismatic collection of the Musei Civici of Verona has been housed in the Museo di Castelvecchio since 1924. The collection also includes a rather large lot of lead tesserae and seals from the Roman period, a - numerically smaller - group from the medieval and modern periods, and a series of bronze tesserae with erotic, numeral and other subjects. Altogether, there are 406 specimens that have never been catalogued in the past and that this volume presents and describes in detail, contributing to enriching our knowledge of Roman figurative imagery. This is the first catalogue to present and illustrate the collection of coinage plumbs in the Musei Civici of Verona.
