The purpose of this naturalistic research about Phenomena of Strait Area of Skylla and Charybdis was to highlight the Uniqueness of the marine territory and the environment between Calabria and Sicily in the middle ground to the Mediterranean sea. Now that we rediscover it preserved below the sea we see it transformed into a wonderful vital explosion of marine Biodiversity. The Three Skylla Teeth and countless other submerged reefs today are completely covered by a corals forest, colourful yellow gorgoninas, yellow-red, red (of Paramuricea clavata) and other species of Cnidarians- Anthozoa commonly known as corals. For the historical, natural, scenic, cultural uniqueness, the Skylla and Charybdis Strait Area must be universal heritage for humanity and its environmental and social integrity must be maintained for the values it expresses.
