Established in Paris since 1985, Frédéric Borel has developed a new approach to the urban question, through some emblematic buildings of a new architectural expressiveness. His buildings, while widening themselves, seek to propose spaces freely accessible to the citizens.
They arise at the corner of the streets as complex and fragmented volumes defining atypical places.
His constructions assert themselves as plastic events revealing the poetry of their inscription site: boulevard de Belleville, an enigmatic metallic tempietto coming out of a trunk to respond, in counterpoint, to the main axis of exchange and circulation; rue Oberkampf, a lodge setting in the depth of the plot the clash of two twin towers overlooking a dreamlike garden.
