A number of his important works are to be found in North America, including the St. Mary Cathedral in San Francisco, the George Washington Bus Terminal in New York and the Victoria Square Tower in Montreal, to name just a few. The exhibition "Pier Luigi Nervi, l'architecture comme défi" (Pier Luigi Nervi: the Challenge of Architecture) provides a complete overview and exploration of the work of one of the most prolific and versatile masters of 20th-century architecture, examining his career in all its breadth from the outset in the early 1920s up to the 1970s.
In addition to the range of Nervi's buildings at the international level, the exhibition will present his pioneering research into construction materials and technologies as well as his extraordinary structures and public works.
The catalogue will comprise studies written by the member of the exhibition's advisory board and specific case studies as well as a biography and bibliography. After its presentation in Brussels, the exhibition will begin its tour of Europe with stops in Venice, Rome, Turin and other venues in European capitals that will soon be scheduled
