5+1 AA. What's in the fridge? Milanese Ice Factory and Ice Palace

This book presents the requalification project of the Milan Ice Factory area and Ice Palace, implemented by 5 +1 AA associated architects in 2002, when they were assigned the job.
This area, where a functional and architectural recovery was then necessary, is characterized by the presence of the Ice Palace, an articulated structure and a place of memories, and by the Milanese Ice Factory, a monolithic and imposing building which has at its inside a fascinating succession of volumes and functions.
This book includes critical essays by Paul Ardenne and Ernesta Caviola, some interviews and a text by Alfonso Femia and Gianluco Peluffo, the architects who founded 5 + 1 AA and who developed this project, which is also documented in this volume by a series of technical plans.
