It is the Davanzati Museum's recipe book and consists of an elaboration of matherials studied by Maria Fossi Todorow in the period 1980-1990, working with Mina Bacci, Chiara Baldasseroni, Maria Paola Masini, Maria Luisa Selvi and Cristina Valenti. The medieval cooking culture is emphasized in many noticed color images of works by Lorenzetti, Buoninsegna, Cennini etc. Kitchen utensils are drown and described and some original recipe manuscripts are faithfully reproduced, deciphered, translated in English: Porrata Bianca (Hhite Leek Porridge), Pollastri Affinocchiati (Baby Hens with Fennel), Torta di Gamberi (Crayfish Tart) and Fichi Ripieni (Stuffed Figs).
