Il design italiano incontra il gioiello

Design is increasingly becoming the mean with which to express contemporaneity. This is what distinguishes it and, at the same time, deciphers it. Everything is designed and therefore everything is design. The result is a common, interstitial dimension of design, with varied contexts, sudden shifts in scale and wide horizons. Jewellery cannot avoid encountering design, especially the Italian kind, which has established a fresh way of looking at and using things, as well as creating new domestic landscapes and anticipating innovative market scenarios.
The exhibition represents a landmark in the history of encounters between jewellery and Italian design. It is the first systematic census of designer jewellery and an introduction and promised premise for an exchange between jewellery production and Italian design.
