Metaphysical Art is a periodical founded in 2001 that publishes recent studies and primary source documents pertaining to the life and art of Giorgio de Chirico.

The latest triple issue: n. 11/13 brings together research undertaken in 2011-2013 with contributions by scholars dealing with historical, theoretical and technical aspects of the Great Metaphysician's art. Among the noteworthy contributions found in the current issue are: Mannequins and Vaticinators by Ester Coen, Through Metaphysical Art by Claudio Strinati and Giorgio de Chirico, Apollinaire and Metaphysical Portraiture by Willard Bohn. A collection of previously unpublished documents enrich the historiographical study of the origins of the artist's family, a subject examined in various essays. Three interviews with de Chirico conducted in the 1970s bear witness to the artist's extraordinary Neometaphysical period (1968-1976). The serious issue regarding the forgery of de Chirico's artwork is dealt with in the feature The Constants of History that includes the publication of a recent judgement by the Milan Court of Appeal.

Essays by: Claudio Strinati, Ester Coen, Willard Bohn, Riccardo Dottori, Lorenzo Canova, Nikolaos Velissiotis, Paolo Picozza, Katherine Robinson, Victoria Noel-Johnson, Elisabetta Cristallini, Simona Rinaldi, Salvatore Vacanti, Stefano Ridolfi, Romano Levante and Luca Lo Pinto.
