The exhibition takes its title from a publication of the artist Luciano Fabro of 1999: the starting point of history is always the present. It is not as important as they have come from Michelangelo to contemporary art but as a contemporary art looks at Michelangelo, what kind of dialogue is established between those who make art today and the art of the past. What really matters is the present moment. The exhibition, which puts next to Michelangelo's works those of Louise Bourgeois, Picasso, Alders, Duchamp, Ghirri, Struth, Klein, Kounellis, Savinio, Bacon, Pistoletto, was thought on this conceptual basis.
