The volume is dedicated to the B3-2 pavilion, realized by Archea Associati, in the UBPA (Urban Best Practice Area) area in China on the occasion of the Expo 2010 in Shanghai, within the context of the cooperation program between the Expo and Italian Ministry for the Environment. The project represents an extraordinary opportunity to highlight the most modern ways to conceive architecture, on the basis of an approach that respects the environment, saves energy and considers the impact, in terms of quality and aesthetics, of the architecture on the landscape. The pavilion is a simple container, a neutral box transformed in a mechanism for diffusing natural light without any need to consume energy and realized with structure in steel assembled mechanically without cement, something which makes it possible to disassemble and reassemble the volume, rapidly and efficiently.
