Sergio Scatizzi, painter of declared informal vocation but passionate of the ancient figurative genders of the still life and of landscape, is the protagonist of the exhibition organized by the Fondazione Centro Studi Ragghianti. The different seasons and features of the art of Scatizzi, and wide samples of his loved themes are present in the exhibit; from the urban views to the nude, from the landscape to the still life, in a variety which well represents the curious attitude of Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti.
The more than 70 artworks displayed in the exhibition, follow the whole artistic story of Sergio Scatizzi and belong to two collections, different for story and choices. The first collection, shown entirely for the first time, is part of the art collections of the Fondazione Ragghianti. The second one, instead, shows the story of esteem and friendship that, for more than thirty years, accompanied the artist and one of his devoted collectors, Giuliano Innocenti, who gathered over the time, hundreds of paintings and drawings of Scatizzi.
