Robert Cahen. Passaggi. Video-Installazioni 1979-2008

The French artist, one of the most acclaimed exponent of the International video-art, includes in his creative production, films, videos, installations, photographs. Many of his works have been broadcasted by several TV stations and hosted in international festivals and institutions, such as the Biennale de Paris, the MoMA in New York, the International Center of Photography in New York, Documenta 8in Kassel, Germany FestRio in Brasil, Tokyo Festival, the Locarno International Film Festival... The exhibit at the Fondazione Ragghianti, the most complete in Europe, shows a path from the 60ties to these days: eleven video-installations and two mono-channel videos "remade" for the occasion and for the exhibition spaces of Lucca. The charming works let us explore the important themes of this artist: the landscape, the contemplative dimension, the journey, the time of the images and the passing of life, through a pictorial and musical approach.
