In his prolific artistic course, Carmelo Cappello (Ragusa 1912 - Milan 1996) incarnates the tensions and anxiety of a century marked by the drama of the two World Wars, but also characterized by technological progress and scientific research. Cappello has interpreted the outstanding cultural stages of his time as a true protagonist.
Among the most sensitive witnesses of the Italian culture, he undoubtedly occupies a place of great and recognized importance among the most prominent exponents of the twentieth century in Italy. This volume pays tribute to Cappello ten years after his death.
