Born in Brescia in 1973, while still a young girl Rita Siragusa was invited to participate in the World Peace Arts Festival in Hiroshima in 1995.
Convinced that contemporary sculpture is losing its traditional monumental connotations, she prefers to install her works in urban public spaces.
Her works have been acquired by various public institutions;
recently she has begun to extend her activity beyond sculpture to create sacred art objects, jewelry, and design.
