Dressing Ourselves

Worldwide famous architects, designers, musicians, and artists have been asked to design the dress that represent-ed them most, a dress as a portrait. The designs have then been put together in a true collection of dresses, exhibited by fiberglass sculptures. The book suggests a journey through contemporary creativity, a world in which different languages are being combined more and more. The ones who have designed the portrait-dress are: W. Pesce, E. Sottsass, J. Tenor, P. Tuttofuoco/ Ciboh, Un Studio, M. Sei Watanabe, P. Wilson. The project has been created and curated by Alessandro Guerriero, founder of the Alchimia group in 1976. Alchimia is one of the most dynam-ic and interesting groups of post avant-garde Italian design.
