A geographical map of the latest generation of contemporary Italian art from 1990 to 2002. The analysis of a galaxy of micro-generations which are neither modern nor post-modern, beyond the tough logic of the Trans avant-garde with its political connotations of the work of previous generations: a microcosm of languages and subjects able to compete with the highest international standards and represent the contemporary image of our culture abroad. Nineteen Italian curators who worked and chaperoned artists in the Nineties, propose twenty-eight Italian identities, twenty-eight artists who have merited the attention of the critics and cultural institutions of our country and the world.
