Corrado Levi

Corrado Levi has said of himself: I am an Italian of multiple training; as an architect student of Franco Albini and Carlo Mollino; as a writer of Karl Kraus and Erik Satie; as an artist of many generations of artists from Arte Povera, from which I learned the language, to Transavanguardia, from which I stole freedom, to the graffiti artists whose streets I envy and many others. On the Italian art scene, Corrado Levi is the most versatile and unorthodox person around. Through contact with different generations of artists and intellectuals, he has touched on many experiences and made them his own proposing a light, ironic art that is at the same time deeply committed and ethical. This volume highlights his creative and linguistic complexity, expressed in all directions: alongside the artist we thus find the critic, theorist and, above all, the free thinker; one of the last remaining.
