Beginning with the transformation of the contemporary metropolis, the work of Stefano Cagol (Trento, 1969)-an Italian artist from the Trentino region, but a citizen of the world-faces, through the use of different artistic languages, political and social realities, our changing points of view and value systems as well as the altered balance of society. The artist's investigation, documented in this book, stems from a reflection upon contemporary influences.
Suspended between negative and positive and familiar and broader meanings of the terms "influence" and "power," Cagol's direct contact with his audience highlights the complexity of the very idea of authority. In Harajuku Influences, Cagol's latest artistic experiences in Berlin, Ghent, Singapore, and Tokyo are synthesized.
