A way of painting that represents a primordial impulse to reproduce images on the wall of the caverns. It is the systematic and repetitive representation that makes images icons and symbols of their time.
This catalogue wishes a deeper investigation on the period spent by Haring in Pisa and on the extemporaneous production realized during such a creative moment. He painted on several types of support that people brought him: paper, objects, clothes, etc. The curator of this small volume, the art critic Gregorio Rossi, witnessed the realization of some of the works published. Many sketches and paintings have probably gone lost. For all those preserved in Pisa and elsewhere, a further and complete catalogue would be highly desirable.
