Giuseppe Zecca (Sondrio, 1934), an artist by training, became the designer of BTicino at the end of the fifties. His name is linked to products of great significance (Compasso d'Oro ADI Prize for the Living and My Home series). Working in close contact with problems of technology and the market and aware of the creative potential of his profession within the industrial process, Zecca has succeeded in transforming nondescript technical devices into products with an image, of high formal quality.
This book, by drawing attention to the artistic and design work of a protagonist of the best industrial design, assigns him the place he deserves in modern Italian culture.
