The Prague Castle, in cooperation with Art for Public s.r.o. and Art for People association, is pleased to present the art exhibition called "Titian Vanitas - The poet of the image and the shade of beauty" to celebrate the Italian artist Tiziano Vecellio and his works in the Czech Republic.

Through the artworks kindly given on loan by prestigious Italian and foreign institutions and private collectors, the viewer will be enchanted by the sensual and enigmatic women called Vanitas usually interpreted as an allegory of vanity. At the same time, visitors can admire perfectly realistic portraits and self-portraits from his late work.

Titian himself is depicted as an old and bearded man, but still full of power and emotion. Titian, among the most famous painters of the Renaissance, is an artist of international recognition whose works belong to the most precious treasures of the world's art heritage. His broad thematic scope ranges from portraits and landscape paintings to mythological and religious themes.

It is an exceptional opportunity to introduce people the magnificent works by the artist who has enchanted the whole Europe and, even centuries later, continues to fascinate. With such a notable show, Prague ranks among the major cities, such as Rome, Paris or Vienna, which are famous for the art exhibition tourism.
