"Young Photographers from Italian Academies. Vol. 3" refers to the third volume of a book and a related competition/exhibition showcasing the work of young Italian photography students. The project is an initiative of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Catania and Ragusa Foto Festival. It aims to promote and highlight the visual research of students from various Italian academies and institutions focused on photography.
The third edition of the project, "Young Photographers from Italian Academies #3", was specifically themed around "Le relazioni, l'ovvio di cui non ci si occupa" (Relationships, the obvious that is not dealt with). The competition is open to students of photography courses at Italian tertiary institutions.
A catalog of the third volume has been published by LetteraVentidue. A collective exhibition featuring the works of the four winners of the third edition was held in Ragusa Ibla. One of the winners, Elena Zanfanti from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, received a special prize of 500 euros from the Libero Consorzio Comunale di Ragusa
