Giovanni Testori. Un ritratto. L'omaggio di 40 artisti contemporanei

The exhibion Giovanni Testori. L'omaggio di 40 artisti contemporanei, organized by the Municipality of the city of Legnano in the Palazzo Leone da Perego focuses on a not very well known side of Testori's work, i.e. the relationship with the painting and the artists of the second half of the XXth century. As a matter of fact more than one generation of artists recognises Giovanni Testori (Novate, 1923 Milano, 1993) as a master. His sharp and versatile personality can now live again through the portraits realised by equally famous artists like Cucchi, Fantini, Cazzaniga, Vacchi, Varlin, Frangi, Fetting and many other leaders of contemporary art. The catalogue reproduces the photographs of the works on display with an introduction in the memory of Testori by monsignor Luigi Giussani and Flavio Arensi, and with biografical and bibliographical notes about the artist.
