The book includes some contributions from scholars and researchers investigating the complexity of Architectural Design, which, in its definition, intersects and cooperates with languages and with expressive and construction techniques referred to other disciplines, thus contaminating and enhancing with new forms and meanings. The idea for this publication was inspired from the essay Composition for Contamination, through Synergy and Artistic Interaction, that Professor Alberto Ferrari left in the hands of its editors as a contribution to their education and as a tribute to his own crystalline vision of Architecture in its complexity: all possible synergies (erudite and educated) among different fields of artistic activity, from literature to music, dance, theater, photography, may introduce fruitful contaminations in Architectural Design, enriching the semantic content of the project.
