Stone materials. A proposal for the use in the advanced systems of façade

This book comes from the kind requestes and the suggestions received by international stone professionals and companies interested in my former study written in italian, that was the result of my research activity, parallel to the didactic one, carried on during my PhD and research fellowship in the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Pisa.
This work is focused on a proposal, realized and patented in close contact with the productive reality: a mounting system for the construction of the upper part of back ventilated stone façades with ventilated roofs.
It is a new and simple solution, compared to the current consolidated building practice and it was developed and elaborated in different solutions, in order to allow the adaptation of the system to the various design requirements, in collaboration with a leading worldwide company in the field of systems of mechanical anchoring.
The additional final aim of the volume is to contribute to build a truly new culture on stone materials based on the knowledge of their potential applications and of a proper iter of design and construction, and able to grasp their real quality for a wider relapse and a revival of the sector.
