La Perversión De lo Clásico: Anarquía De Los Relatos. 55th International Art Exhibition, la Biennale di Venezia. the Republic of Cuba Pavilion

The catalogue of the exhibition featured at the Republic of Cuba Pavilion at the 55. International Art Exhibition. La Biennale di Venezia will be published in a limited edition numbered from 1 to 650 - in Roman numerals-and from 1 to 650 - in Arabic numerals. Each edition will then be correlated by a slipcase, and will be signed by the Commissioner of the pavilion in order to represent the Caribbean country in Italy.
Abstract from the texts by the curators "The two wide-world most important arts events have been geared toward the retrieving of a holistic view of the current reality. I mean Documenta 13 and the 55th Edition of the Venice Biennial. The first one's chief curator, Carolyn Christov- Bakargiev, tried to create a community of knowledge that would allow to rewrite the present in order to think about the future. Her interest got underway with emphasizing knowledge from the perspectives opened up by biologists, philosophers and quantum physicists along with investigations coming from art. It was a way to call into question the foundations of the generalized crisis of models and to outline an alternative for a new world.[...]" Jorge Fernández Torres
