This book illustrates the results of research hinging on the digital reconstructions of three significant works planned by one of the most important protagonists of 20th Century Italian architecture: Saverio Muratori. The selection of the incomplete plans illustrated on these pages, which differ in the themes they addressed and time-wise in the course of the evolutionary process of unique Muratorian research, intends to highlight - through the results of the three-dimensional reconstructions - some crucial moments in the Modenese Maestro's constructive-theoretical development on the complex themes of architecture and towns. The plans of Cortoghiana's working class quarter (1940), the Auditorium of Santa Cecilia in Rome (1950-51) and, lastly, the plan of the Church of the Assumption of Our Lady in Rome's Tuscolano district (1946-71) are thus analyzed and reinstated in their complexity.
