Renovation of the Arengario Palace in Milan: this volume describes origins and characteristics of the project by Rota Group, so as the construction site activities which contributed to the realization of Museo del Novecento, inaugurated in December 6, 2010.
Three years work, 140 thousand hours and an average of 80 workers and 25 restorers a day are some of the numbers of this great work. The Museo del Novecento hosts the prestigious Municipality of Milan's Civic Artistic Collections, which let people discover the 20th century art.
Fabio Fornasari, designer and curator of this volume, introduces the chromatic passages of the museum's rooms and proposes a modern and conceptual interpretation of the building plan and site.
Italo Rota, project manager, summarizes in his texts idea and inspiration of this project. The extended photographic documentation is by Enrico Lonati.
