Giuliano Collina has never quiet satisfied himself with simply reflecting on painting using only the techniques of painting. Seen through the lens of his latest cycle of work, Animi Domus, he may be considered as an epic painter, though elegiac at the same time. Here the artist recovers the essential character of mystic narration; the colour is reduced to a minimum in order to favour the essential meaningfulness of the pictorial and plastic subject, Collina's houses of soul become the containers of such higlly fleeting contents that begin to grow and multiply around the artist.
