This volume, dedicated to a further part of the copious section of red-figure vases in the Late Apulian style housed in the Jatta National Museum in Ruvo di Puglia, brings together 45 specimens ascribed to masters and minor exponents of the Workshop of the Painter of the Patera and Ganymede and the Workshop of the Painter of Baltimore, leading ateliers of the last forty years of the 4th century BC active between Taranto and the most receptive centres of central-northern Puglia. The corpus includes amphorae, craters (with masks and small columns), oinochoai, lekanides, skyphoi, loutrophoroi, dishes, globular pyxides, situlae, hydriai, gamikoi lebetes, stamnoid lebetes and bottles, of varying size and decorative commitment, each of which is critically framed in its morphological and stylistic aspects as well as in the functional relationships between support and figuration, with particular attention to the analysis and interpretation of the most complex specimens in terms of volume and articulation of the figurative apparatus with a mythological or ritual theme.
