Cosa, 3. The Buildings of the Forum : Colony, Municipium, and Village

Cosa was a Latin colony founded by Rome in 273 BC in a territory confiscated from the Etruscan city of Vulci. The town became an agricultural and commercial centre, whose trade can be traced in part through a distinctive type of amphora to destinations throughout the Mediterrnean world.
