Abc, art Berlin contemporary, 2012

The catalogue published for the fifth edition of abc art berlin contemporary takes the form of an eclectic reader, composed of reprinted texts selected by Artists Space and by the organizations invited to take part in Bazaar-a new section of the fair that focuses on the activities of some 26 groups that share common ground as cultural producers engaged in various types of distribution, exchange and commerce.

These texts come from a range of sources, yet all, either directly or obliquely, address ideas tied to cultural production and its relationship to forms of exchange and notions of value as implicated within the expanded field of activities represented in the Bazaar. From artist statements to cybernetic theory, the book acts as a snapshot of influential ideas that-in the words of Raqs Media Collective-speak to notions of "insistent seepage in a networked world."
