Il Mediterraneo del '300. Raimondo Lullo e Federico III D'Aragona, re di Sicilia. Omaggio a Fernando Domínguez Reboiras. [English Ed.]

This volume compiles the contributions to the International Seminar held in Palermo and Castelvetrano-Selinunte (TP) in Sicily from 17-19 November 2005, organized by the Officina di Studi Medievali in collaboration with the Dipartimento di Civiltà Euro-Mediterranee, the Dipartimento di Studi Storici e Artistici and the Dipartimento di Beni Culturali of the Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia at the University of Palermo, under the patronage of the Region of Sicily and the Italian Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali.

The contributions are related to four different themes: 1. Ramon Lull in Sicily at the time of Frederick III; 2. the Opera tuniciana et messanensia of Ramon Lull; 3. Sicily, the Mediterranean and Frederick III; 4. the Ars amative boni by Ramon Lull. All contributions, written in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, are followed by an abstract in English.

The Seminar was organized in homage to Dr. Fernando Domínguez Reboiras, who for many years has been the scientific coordinator and untiring promoter of the critical edition of the Latin works of Ramon Lull (ROL). At the Raimundus-Lullus-Institut of the Faculty of Theology at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany), Fernando Domínguez is in charge of the management and coordination of the scientific and technical work involved in the production of ROL volumes. These are published by Brepols Publishers from Turnhout, Belgium for the Corpus Christianorum, Continuatio Mediaevalis series since 1975. The ROL edition is planned to comprise about fifty-five volumes, thirtyone of which have already been published. Several volumes in the series are Fernando Domínguez´ personal contribution.
The volume will be presented during the International Seminar "Gottesschau und Weltbetrachtung. Interpretationen zum Liber contemplationis des Raimundus Lullus" from 25-28 November 2007 at the Raimundus-Lullus-Institut in Freiburg.
