We have chosen to approach the Salento through its houses - the homes of families with deep roots in the territory no less than the homes of those who have consciously chosen this place after falling in love with it. And each home represents the particularities, the nature of the various areas that form this far edge of Italy. These particularities were what gave rise to the plan of dividing our itinerary into many micro areas so as to better relate the different facets of this fascinating territory and the endless cultural overlapping that characterizes it. The chosen form of expression, intended to be light and friendly in tone, is pictures accompanied by a few notes. Reported for each area are its events, places, excellence in various fields and outstanding architecture. We have chosen the aspects that piqued our curiosity, aroused our interest and thrilled us to the point of wanting to share them with you. The aim is to convey the passion and love that the Salento kindles, with its history, its nature, its architecture and its people.
