L'intrattenimento, o entertainment, nella sua accezione di evento, si prefigura come episodio unico per le modalità con cui viene svolto e per l'esperienza che lascia a chi lo vive, e al tempo stesso ripetibile, itinerante, grazie alla progettualità con cui può essere realizzato. E' una manifestazione fatta di volta in volta di spettacolo, musica, sport, comizi, raduni, settimane tematiche che si insinuano nella città, dialogando con essa, evidenziandone le peculiarità, generando nuove dinamiche. Il volume indaga il tema delle "Temporary Urban Solutions" declinato all'ambito dell'intrattenimento, inquadrando il fenomeno della temporaneità nella progettazione e delineando la figura e le competenze e gli strumenti del designer degli spazi.
