Comprising over 220 works, the exhibition takes visitors through a varied and complex reconstruction of an era marked by elegant, precious and sensual taste.
It features creations by Alfons Mucha as well as furnishings and decorative artwork by European artists and manufacturers who were active during that period. The Czech artist was one of the leading exponents of Art Nouveau and became the "promoter" of a new communicative language, an innovative and powerful visual art. The images of women in his posters were widely popular in all spheres of society and even today traces of the unmistakable signature style that has made him into an eternal symbol of Art Nouveau are easy to find.
